Great place for Chinese food. Our go to place for dimsum.

I thought the food was great and freshly made. The service was fast and the servers were very polite. The kids really enjoyed the different foods. We will definitely be back.

been coming here for so many years, but this last visit was pretty bad.. items took a long time to arrive and when it arrived all the dim sum wrapper fell apart. they were impossible to pickup.. check out these photos, I thought the ha gow wrapper suppose to be clear, not like this.. looks like freezer burnt.. the rice wrap fell apart..

Dim sum and services are good with reasonable price.

Haven't been here for years and we did a fast new years eve lunch. The spring rolls were fresh and not oily and everything else was fresh and really nice. Won't be that long to come back here

Be cautious! Good enough Chinese food but for pick up their prices are WAY higher than their online menu states.

Pretty Good Dim Sum; could be more flavourful. Relatively good service. They don't refill your water/tea unless you ask, and they sell pop by the can instead of fountain drinks. The prices are reasonable, though and the food is always hot and fresh. Most of the staff is friendly.

Haven't had dim sum cause the restaurant has been closed since March, always eat in. Today we caved drove from Maple Ridge the dim sum was hot fresh and delicious! service was awesome, definitely will be doing more take out from now on!

Great dim sum! Good selection of favorite dumplings, har gow and sui mai are superb😊 Lots of things you don't find on some other dim sum menus - Chinese doughnut in rice roll for one... Serves dim sum 7 days a week until 2pm, but get there by 11am on a weekend or holiday if you don't want to wait for a table! Highly recommended...

The dim sum was ok, but not the highest quality. The peanut meat dumpling skin fell apart really easily and wasn’t pleasant. Siu Mai was delish, juicy and tasty. Also loved the hairy taro and salt and pepper squid. Everything was fresh and hot.

Came here on Saturday around noon but it wasn't crowded and we were seated immediately. There was a mix of Cantonese speaking Chinese and Caucasians. The 3 of us ordered Sui Mai, Har how, BBQ pork buns, 2 X beef rice noodles, sticky rice wrap, fried egg plant, salt n pepper squid, preserved pork and century egg congee, and 2 pops. 2 dishes were $7.50 & most of the other dishes were $4.95. We were full after eating a little more than half so of course we brought the rest home to snack on later. Favorites today were congee, eggplant, rice noodles. The other dishes were pretty standard as far as dim sum goes. The squid could have been more pepper-y. The restaurant looks a little dated but I was only there for the food. Overall, it was worth the visit!

There are a few Chinese customs I want you to know about. Green tea is widely drunk by the all Chinese restaurant. This is different from the North America , where people drink coffee. Another Chinese custom that you must learn when you come here is how to eat meals with chopsticks. It's a interesting thing to learning eat meals with chopsticks.

We’ve had some bad experiences in the past (hair in food) but decided to give it a try again as we miss their spicy wontons! It’s great for the price but not nearly as good as other dim sum places. I enjoyed 3/8 dishes as the majority were quite bland. My fav: spicy wontons, green beans and shrimp and scallops dumpling.

Always delicious Dim Sum but get there before noon on Sundays or you’ll wait in line❣️

Good dim sum and dinner

It's a older Chinese restaurant. The price is a little cheaper than the same Chinese food restaurant. Dim Sum time from 10am to 3:00pm. The price of the dishes than others a little different. In my opinion , steamed shrimp dumpling, steamed siu mai pork dumpling, steamed scallop dumpling, steamed bean curd skin rolls w/pork & conpoy, pan fried vegetarian bean curd skin rolls, steamed Shanghai style pork buns, pan fried sticky rice w/ oyster sauce, slice fish congee, and so on and some dishes are vegetarian can eat.

Not bad. Some of the nicer Chinese restaurants in Poco.

Really enjoyed the dim sum. Service was good. A good variety of dim sum. Something for everyone whether you like the simple dim sum or a bit more adventurous.

Love This Place!!!One of the Best Dim Sum Restaurants in the Lower Mainland!In relation to other places the prices are very fair and comparable. They have been in business for many years and honed their craft which you will taste in every bite. The food is very consistent and coupled with the friendly staff and owners you just can't go wrong!

The food is really good but the service is ok. We always have to wait really long to have our orders taken. Will come back

Rainbow Butterfly is our port of call for Dim Sum, especially since we travel all the way from Chilliwack to dine here. There’s no need to travel much farther to Richmond or Vancouver. Raymond (owner) & Stephen (manager) are always smiles, accommodating, and consistently makes us feel at home! Highly recommended!

I think the only thing great about this place is the lunch specials. Service was fast, but it does get super busy. Probably the best dim sum place in Poco, but if you have had good dim sum in burnaby/vancouver - skip rainbow butterfly. The dim sum dishes are huge, but a bit greasy compared to other places.Also, some of the chopsticks were dirty (small speck on the tip and a bit oily on the tip as well) which they replaced, but I rather they just had clean ones to begin with. Main point is, if you have friends visiting who love dim sum, do them a favor and make the trip to Vancouver or Burnaby.

Overall pretty good . The food came out pretty quick, and it was very good. I didnt find the service overly friendly, but I guess it's the nature of a fast paced environment.

Really solid Chinese food in a good location. Only complaint is you get the gears if you ask for additional soy sauce or hot sauce and the prices aren't cheap enough for me to feel bad about asking for them.

Is this Port Coquitlam's best Dim-Sum? Personally, I think so - Not that there are many choices. Dim-Sum time gets incredibly busy here, so best to come a bit earlier. A lot of different choices and dimsum staples. Get the egg-tarts!

Great dim sum for reasonable prices. The food is tasty and well portioned. The dumplings are a good size. Rice noodles with beef dish is well done with nicely textured noodles (not squishy). Has all the dim sum dishes I grew up with! The place could use some updating and service can be a bit unfriendly at first. We are somewhat regulars so the staff are friendlier now. You can also order dim sum to go by calling in or placing an order when there. Okay parking and a bit challenging when it’s busy. We have found this to be a solid dim sum restaurant for several years and good place for family brunch including with kids.

Long waits on the weekends. Good service when seated. Good dim sum , not great. Very good prices.

Update: we've had their dim sum - one of the best Ive ever had! Our family just moved into the area and decided to try the neighbourhood restaurant. Very happily surprised - we've already gone a couple times. EXCELLENT food and service! Fresh, tasty and decently priced :)

Been there several times over a few years. Mixed crowd Caucasians and Asians. Always fast and courteous service, cool ambiance, excellent sushi. Great "spicy tuna salad". Love their fun motto printed in front of their kitchen. "No Sushi no life"

Best Chinese food in Poco

I always enjoy my experience at rainbow butterfly , I go there maybe once a month for dimsum and I'm never disappointed.

My 6 year old daughter demands we visit this restaurant at least once a week. She loves the sticky rice, sweet and sour chicken balls, and chicken chow mien. And I like certain dishes. My daughter states that food is awesome and service is good. And I agree with her!

If you like to try out traditional Dim sum without traveling too far, this place can be your alternative. Food serving time is reasonable, we ordered food and they started to come within ten minutes. Unlike other Chinese restaurant, they give you a menu and you circle which one you order on the menu instead of food cart going around tables and you pick. Food quality is OK and taste is on average. Price is on average as well I guess, $20 per person should have enough food. Tea is free but no choices of tea. Weekend could be busy, reservation recommended.

They use to be really good. Tonight we ordered food and they put the wrong sauce for our chicken in and the order was wrong. I called them and they told me can you come back. I said we will drive there again but you need to replace our order. Its not fair that you put us thru this. They refused to replace cursed and swore at us. I will never go there and I will tell everyone I know to avoid them. Horrible business people. UPDATE: Cops came to the house. Restaurant owner wanted us charged for mischief but once they saw our video of the owner cursing and throwing chopsticks at us he told them to give us our money back. It sure pays to take video. We proved the owner of the restaurant is a liar got it all on video. He lied to the cops and tried to rip us off.

Food:Refer to pictures. Food on average was alright, not amazing, a little too salty though.Price:$160 for ten people, super reasonable.Service:Good! But a little slow. Place seems understaffed. Food took about 10-20 mins to arrive.Will I come again? Yes. If there's a special occasion or a gathering.Would I recommend this place? Yes. If you have a large gathering.

Ordered a very simple Chinese dish, beef with noodle and received maybe at best 3 slices.... I was ready to give a 1 star review but I've heard they are known for their DIM SUM so I wanted to give them one more chance before giving them a proper review.I went back for their Dim sum and was impressed with the quality of food. The cost is a bit high, but it's the best you will get around the area. So if you are thinking anything besides Dim sum, I wouldn't recommend. 1/5 for anything besides dim sum4/5 for Dim sum.

Great place for dim sum. Have been coming here forever. The place certainly needs a makeover but solid choice for dim sum in the tri-cities.

Cheap and delicious food but service is not good. Staff were too serious and not friendly.

It was just ok. We placed an order for pickup. Ginger beef and sweet and sour pork tasted pretty much the same. Absolutely smothered in sauce, had to try to get some sauce off before eating. It's not a bad place but we probably won't order from here again or recommend it

We eat here often, it's always good and freshly made, they're very quick and the service is great! Due to this covid going in, we ordered take out and the food has the same great taste!! Our order was on point, we love this dim sum place as you never have to wait long for the food to be ready :) good job Rainbow Butterfly, we will be back!! Thank you
